Schedule: Full time

Hours: 40

Responsibilities
  • The supervisor, supported by and in collaboration with the Ambulatory Manager, Chief, and Service Line Director has authority, responsibility, and accountability for the daily planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of patient care for outpatients, and assigned staff at all clinical locations.
  • The supervisor will be responsible for producing a highly integrated, efficient team effort by demonstration of leadership qualities and technical expertise.
  • Establishes positive working relationships with staff and all customers serviced within and outside the hospital, to achieve high quality care for patients.
  • Including and not limited to overseeing and regularly monitoring assigned staff to meet patient care volume / skill set needs as well as coordinating staff vacation coverage, sick call coverage, and staffing adjustments.
  • The supervisor will have input into operating and capital budgets and be responsible to stay within the budget parameters of salaries and expenses, through efficiently managing the daily activities.
  • Assist in interviewing and selecting candidates for open positions, provide orientation and ongoing training of all staff with timely feedback on performances and performance appraisals.
  • Participates and performs monthly leader rounding in collaboration with managers.
  • Administratively processes personnel issues and communicates in a timely manner to and involves managers when appropriate.
  • Assists staff to proactively identify and service recover patient / family needs and / or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for assisting in reviewing current and developing / implementing of new programs that offer advance technology services, improve workflows that provide excellent patient experience across the cardiopulmonary service line.
  • Maintain all skills within the scope of their practice to cover any needs, such as covering clinical staff needs.
  • The supervisor is expected to be available for 24 / 7 administrative coverage to assist with any trouble shooting and or emergencies that may arise.
