Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers at Nottoway Correctional Center is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor. You will direct a team of RNs and support staff, coordinate with physicians and security, and ensure timely, quality medical care for inmates.

The position is full-time, with an annual salary range of $101,135 - $115,530 and a potential $7,500 sign-on bonus or up to $10K student loan repayment for eligible hires. Virginia RN licensure and BLS are required; corrections experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have RN licensure in Virginia or a multi-state compact license.
• BLS certification required upon hire (AHA/ARC).
• Knowledge of nursing and supervisory principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversees work of LPNs and other medical staff.
• Directs a staff of RNs and support services with physician coordination.
• Provides skilled nursing care to inmates and administers medications.
• Develops medical/nursing guidelines and maintains medical records.
