Job summary

DHRM is seeking an Registered Nurse Supervisor for Deerfield Correctional Center in Virginia. You will oversee nursing staff and coordinate with medical and security teams to ensure inmate health care during emergencies and routine care.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, Virginia RN license (or compact), and supervisory experience. A sign-on bonus and loan repayment options may be available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Virginia RN license or multi-state compact license.
• Experience in nursing supervision and emergency care.
• Knowledge of medication usage, actions, and side effects.
• Ability to communicate effectively and perform full physical assessments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LPNs and other medical staff; coordinate with physician, dentist, psychologist, and security.
• Direct a staff of nurses and support services to ensure inmates receive appropriate medical care.
• Provide skilled nursing care, assess health problems, administer medications, and initiate emergency interventions.
