Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Clinical Staff Leader to join the Nursing leadership team. The CSL oversees a cohort of staff, drives clinical practice development and ensures delivery of safe, high‑quality patient care across day and night shifts.

Reporting to the manager, the CSL coaches staff, coordinates staffing, monitors budgets, and partners with leadership to improve throughput and compliance.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical consultation and audits protocols and surgical processes.
• Collaborates with the VES Manager/Director to maintain quality care standards.
• Ensures supplies, equipment and stock are available and inventory issues are addressed.
• Supports staff development through orientation and ongoing training.
• Assists primary physicians in procedures and provides first‑assist support.
• Ensures complete post‑procedure data documentation per hospital protocols.
• Schedules staff to optimize resource use and coordinates with leadership.
• Monitors budget and supports cost‑effective service delivery.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and participates in audits.
