The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse for the Decatur facility. The role supervises nursing staff, plans and evaluates care, and ensures high-quality patient management.

You will coordinate shifts, maintain records, mentor staff, and uphold standards and regulations. A Georgia RN license and experience in long-term care or behavioral health are required; BSN preferred.

Qualificações

• Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Experience with patients with G/J tubes, tracheostomies, and seizure disorders.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for an assigned unit or shift.
• Ensure nursing staff properly assess patient health problems and needs.
• Develops and implements nursing care plans and ensures accurate maintenance of medical records.
• Supervises the provision and quality of nursing care provided to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients.
• Provides guidance to nursing staff regarding patient care, policies, procedures, and appropriate clinical practices.
• Advises patients regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment planning as appropriate.
• May provide case management services.
• Assists with coordinating staffing, assignments, and daily nursing operations for the assigned shift or unit.
• Ensures nursing services are provided in accordance with established standards, policies, and applicable regulations.
