Nurse Supervisor - Behavioral Health Opportunity

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8am-4:30pm.

(A 2 WEEK ORIENTATION IS REQUIRED. MON- FRI 8:30A-5:00P)

Rockford Center

is a 138-bed mental health facility located in Newark, DE, providing easy access to a full complement of inpatient and partial behavioral health programs for children and adolescents, adults, and older adults. Rockford is the only child inpatient behavioral health facility in DE, offers an experienced and tenured senior management team, and serves New Castle County and northern Maryland.

Position Summary

The Nurse Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for nursing staff within the behavioral health hospital, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. This role is responsible for supervising daily nursing operations, coordinating staffing, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations, including scheduling, assignments, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain high standards of behavioral health nursing and compliance with treatment plans.
• Initiates emergency measures according to age appropriate CPR and client resuscitation protocols.
• Participates in emergency crisis interventions according to age appropriate techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality related to patient, family, client facility and staff in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Nursing. Strong communication skills, excellent customer service and organization skills, highly effective listening skills, and strong clinical skills.
• Two (2) years of related Supervisory experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
• Current license to practice nursing in DE (or eligible to receive or renew).
• Current CPR
