Job summary

University Health System in Texas seeks an RN to perform the nursing process in a dialysis clinic, providing direct patient care and monitoring for ESRD patients.

The nurse will mentor staff, serve as a clinical role model, and coordinate care, while receiving guidance from Nurse Staff I–III and the Dialysis Services Director. BSN is highly preferred and current AHA/ACLS/Healthcare Provider cards are required.

Qualifications

• BSN is highly preferred.
• Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card.

Oversees direct patient care of the ESRD patient on dialysis. Supports and adheres to University Health System and department specific policies and standards. Mentors and serves as a clinical role model for all staff. Receives mentoring from Nurse Staff I, Nurse Staff II, Nurse Staff III, and the Director of Dialysis Services.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

BSN is highly preferred. Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

Current RN licensure from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the state of Texas is required. National certification in Dialysis is encouraged.
