Your Role on the Team

Position Summary

The Nurse Supervisor manages daily patient care delivery and nursing practice standards in the Main Operating Room. Responsibilities include coordinating surgery schedules, supervising staff, responding to physician orders, acquiring equipment and services, and ensuring a safe environment. Serves as a clinical resource and role model, reviewing data to implement effective control mechanisms.

Required Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Leadership skills, conflict management, negotiation
• Flexibility to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Multi-tasking, prioritization, organization skills
• Staff and resource management aligned with organizational goals
• 5 years Operating Room experience or 2 years plus supervisory/charge nurse experience
• BSN

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Joint Commission and regulatory standards
• Supervisory experience in acute care
• RN certification recognized by ANCC specific to this unit

Licenses and Certifications

• RN
• BLS
• CNOR
