Job summary
Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Scientist to promote and coordinate nurse-led clinical research, evidence-based practice projects, and quality improvement across Alaska. You will liaise with Nursing Institute initiatives, including Magnet, Clinical Scholarship and Inquiry, and the IRB, while advancing professional practice and excellence in clinical outcomes.
The role requires an Alaska RN license, advanced degrees, and ANCC certification, with several years of acute care
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Business, or related field required (Nursing for Master’s preferred).
- RN license Alaska required on hire; professional certification (CCRC/CCRP) expected within 2 years.
- 5 years acute care nursing experience required.
Responsibilities
- Promote and coordinate nurse-led clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
- Lead activities to promote a culture of professional practice and excellence in outcomes.
- Liaise with system-level Nursing Institute initiatives including Magnet and IRB.
