Qualifications

• Master's degree in CNS from CCNE or NLNAC-accredited program.
• Alaska RN license required at hire.
• BLS certification required at hire (American Heart Association).
• Current specialty certification (e.g., CEN, CCRN) at hire.
• Minimum 3 years RN experience in the specialty.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical leadership responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports, supervises, and evaluates staff during their first 90–180 days on the unit.
• Acts within nurse-patient, nurse-nurse, and nurse-system spheres.
• Facilitates a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to care in the specialty area.
• Promotes excellence by implementing clinical standards of practice and establishing staff competency.
• Demonstrates strong clinical knowledge and serves as a clinical resource to assess patient outcomes.
• Supports clinical rounds with the health care team and collaborates with physicians to strengthen relationships.
