Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is hiring a Registered Nurse for PRN shifts in Oakland Park, Florida. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years pediatric nursing experience and be committed to providing excellent patient care.

You will perform nursing care in the post-operative period, assess patient statuses, and ensure the safety of our pediatric patients. Benefits include a 401k plan, paid time off, and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years pediatric nursing experience, preferably in NICU or PICU.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for patients in the immediate post-operative period.
• Assess and document patient status upon arrival in the recovery room.
• Monitor patients and inform dental staff of complications.

About You

You have an exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and strong commitment to providing excellent care to our patients. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and you desire to contribute to a strong culture where the entire team works together for the good of each patient. Pediatric nursing experience minimum of 2 years, preferably NICU and / or PICU experience.

YOU WILL

• Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative / post anesthesia period
• Assess and document patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered
• Monitor patient and inform dentist or anesthetist of observed complications

YOU HAVE

Requirements + Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)
• Pediatric nursing experience minimum of 2 years, preferably NICU and / or PICU experience

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Previous experience in ICU or perioperative nursing experience
