Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers in Jacksonville, Florida, is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to pediatric patients in a fast-paced surgical environment. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care in the recovery room, and monitoring post-anesthesia status. Candidates must have a current RN license, be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, and possess BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include an ACLS and PALS certification. Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Current BLS upon hire; ACLS and PALS within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period.
• Assess and document patient's status upon arrival in the recovery room.
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered.
• Monitor patient and inform dental staff of observed complications.

YOU WILL

YOU HAVE

Requirements + Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire

Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)

PREFERRED

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Previous experience in ICU or perioperative nursing experience
