Job summary

Majestic Care of Terre Haute is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care on a unit, with weekends shifts days, evenings and nights. Join a team dedicated to compassionate, high-quality resident care.

You will assess residents, administer medications, document care, and collaborate with physicians and CNAs. Must be a graduate of an accredited program and licensed as RN or LPN in Indiana; CPR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN or LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• CPR certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents’ condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.

Position Overview:

Majestic Care Nurses render skilled technical nursing services to residents within an assigned unit/wing in support of medical care as directed by the nursing management team; supervises CNAs to ensure a high quality of care is provided to all residents in that unit.
