Job summary

SALUDA NURSING CENTER is seeking an experienced nurse to provide direct resident care and supervise nursing assistants in accordance with governing standards. The role requires leadership, adherence to licensure, and the ability to manage multiple tasks across shifts.

The successful candidate will supervise day-to-day nursing activities, ensure safe pharmacologic and therapeutic care, and collaborate with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Unit Manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN or LPN license with SC State Board of Nursing.
• Must be in good physical and mental condition; demonstrate leadership.
• Utilize professional nursing knowledge and skills.
• Ensure safe implementation of basic therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out resident care plans.
• Admission and discharge observations.
• Administer medications as ordered.
• Administer IV fluids and draw blood for labs.
• Make rounds with doctors.
• Order medicines as needed.
• Perform treatments as necessary.
• Assist with orientation and training of staff.
• Electronic charting.
• Perform routine staff nurse duties.
• Respond to requests from DON, ADON, and Unit Manager.

Job Overview:

Provide direct nursing care to the residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards and required by the Director of Nursing to always maintain the highest degree of quality care.

Nurse Qualifications:

The RN/LPN must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and maintain current RN or LPN license with the SC State Board of Nursing. Nurse Duties:

• Administer medications as ordered.
• Administer IV fluids and draw blood for lab work, as ordered.
• Make rounds with doctors.
• Order medicines as needed.
• Perform treatments, as necessary.
• Aid in any other procedures and duties as assigned as capable after evidence of proper orientation and training.
• Electronic charting
• Must be able to perform routine staff nurse duties.
• Perform any other requests as directed by the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and Unit Manager.

Current Openings:

• 1st (7A-3P) Relieving 2nd(3P-11P) - Only one weekend per month, NO on-call.
• 3rd (11P-7A), work 32 hours paid for 40 hours
• Includes weekend and holiday rotations.
