Job summary

UF Health Jacksonville is seeking an RN for Cardiac Holding to deliver nursing care for Cath Lab, EP Lab, and TEE patients using the nursing process and professional standards.

The RN will assume charge nurse responsibilities when assigned and maintain accountability for its patient load, with some tasks delegated to Patient Care Associates and Guest Associates. BSN must be obtained within 3 years of hire or transfer; Florida RN licensure with eNLC options is required.

Qualifications

• Possesses an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• BSN preferred and required within 3 years of hire/transfer.
• Current Florida RN licensure or eNLC compact licensure with Florida licensure within 90 days of residency.
• BLS from AHA/Red Cross; ACLS from AHA.
• 1+ year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab and TEE patients.
• Perform staff nurse duties and act as charge nurse when assigned.
• Maintain accountability for assigned patients with supervision delegated to PCTs and Guest Associates.

Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiac Holding provides nursing care to Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab and TEE patients utilizing the nursing process and the standards of care of a professional nurse. The RN is expected to perform all staff nurse activities and functions as charge nurse when assigned. The RN maintains overallaccountability/responsibility for assigned patients, even though some activities /tasks may be delegated to the Patient Care Associated and Guest Associates.

Qualifications

Required Education::Associate's DegreeSpecific Coursework: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. New hires or transfers into in the position between August 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 must abide with the conditions in his or her offer letter and the verbiage in the job description signed upon hire or transfer into the position.
