Site: Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital - St. Petersburg, Florida

Department: Med/Surg

Position: Nurse Resident, RN

Schedule: 3 shifts per week; Hours: 6:45 am - 7:15 pm

Administers patient care in hospital or observation settings for acute care patients receiving active treatment or post-intervention assessment. This position is intended for licensed registered nurses with less than one year of experience.

Essential Functions
  • Administers bedside patient care under supervision.
  • Assesses patient needs and develops care plans.
  • Respects diversity and builds respectful relationships.
  • Advocates for patients and families.
  • Provides age-appropriate care based on patient demographics.
  • Serves as preceptor, charge nurse, educator, or clinician.
  • Collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.

  • Documents care accurately meeting regulatory standards.
