Job summary

Job description

Work Schedule

90/100% FTE. 8/12‑hour day/evening or day/night shifts with weekend rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay

• Evening & night shift differential

Responsibilities

Inpatient Nurse Resident will:

• Join a 12‑month program designed to help New Graduate Registered Nurses transition into practice after graduating from an accredited nursing program.
• Be hired in a wide range of clinical practice areas including adult and pediatric patient populations across inpatient (medical, surgical, critical care, psychiatric), emergency department, and surgical services including the operating room.
• Participate in an orientation program specifically for new-to-practice nurses, including mentorship by preceptors and clinical nurse specialists.
• Attend monthly nurse resident classes with their cohort to meet clinical experts, problem‑solve challenges, and learn about resources supporting practice.

Education

• Minimum: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Nursing (BSN or BAN), or Master of Nursing (MSN) completed within the previous 12 months.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) completed within the previous 12 months.

Licenses and Certifications

• Minimum: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.
• Current CPR/BLS certification upon hire; additional lifesaving intervention certifications may be required after hire.
