Job summary

Mt. Ascutney Hospital is seeking a New Graduate RN to join our critical access hospital team. You will grow and expand nursing skills learned in school and provide lifesaving care for patients of all ages as part of an interdisciplinary team.

The nurse residency program offers a three-week intensive orientation, followed by 19–24 weeks with a preceptor to enhance bedside skills and a transition into practice through a project with nurse educators and the nurse manager.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Active RN licensure in Vermont; BLS certification preferred.
• New graduate residency program with structured orientation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in nurse residency program and intensive orientation.
• Provide direct patient care under supervision on a level-appropriate basis.
• Collaborate with nurse educators, nurse manager and other staff to develop practice improvement projects.
• Care for patients across age groups and disease processes in a critical access setting.
