Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking qualified registered nurses for the ICU Step Down unit on a nights, full-time schedule (36 hours per week). New graduates are welcomed for 2026 consideration.

The unit serves neurologic, medical, and surgical patients in a high-acuity environment within a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center program. Qualified candidates must hold a nursing degree from an accredited school, maintain an RN license in the hiring state or with a compact license, and have Basic Life

Qualifications

• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Nursing degree from an accredited school
• New graduates accepted for 2026 intake

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the ICU Step Down unit.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.
• Document care activities accurately in the electronic medical record.
