Piedmont Healthcare offers a 12-month Nurse Residency program beginning October 2026 to transition students into professional nurses through education, mentorship, and peer support. Residents gain clinical judgment and communication skills while rotating through Acute Care, Critical Care, ED, and more, with a focus on quality and safety at the point of care.

The program emphasizes a blended learning approach with precepted orientation and structured support, across multiple Piedmont facilities

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program is required.
• New graduates are eligible to apply.
• Current RN license in Georgia is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Advanced certification in specialty may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff.
• Maintain standards of nursing practice and accountability.
• Demonstrate professional growth and adherence to policies.
