The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing patient and family-centered care that is safe, efficient, timely, and effective. The RN collaborates with patients and their families to understand their preferences, needs, and values, ensuring that all clinical decisions are guided by these values. Using clinical expertise, the RN integrates physical assessment findings with patient and family preferences to establish mutual care goals and develop a plan to deliver optimal care based on best practices.
