Job summary

CharterCARE Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, RI, is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse for full-time day shifts (7:00am–7:30pm). The RN will provide patient- and family-centered care, partnering with patients to align care with individual preferences and values.

Qualifications

Staff Registered Nurse Full Time regular (64-80 hrs) , 1st Shift , 7:00am to 7:30pm

Summary: TheRegistered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing patient and family centered care that is safe, efficient,timelyand effective. The RN partners with the patient and family to determine individual patient preferences needs and values and ensures that patient values guide all clinical decisions. The RN uses clinicalexpertiseto integrate physical assessment findings with the patient and family preferences toestablishmutual care goals and a plan to deliveroptimalpatient care based on best practices. The RN collaborates with the health care team to deliver holistic,timelycare. The RN evaluates and documents the progress of the patient toward the established goals and outcomes and alters the plan of care whenappropriate toexpeditepatient progress.

Education: Diploma orAssociatedegreerequired; BSN preferred. Within18 monthsof hire, the RN creates a written development plan to achieve an advanced nursing degree or certification in an approved specialty relevant to the needs of the patients served by the RN; Within36 monthsof hire, the RN completes the academic program or certification.

Working Conditions, PhysicalEnvironmentand/or Safety Requirements:Works in a well-lighted and well-ventilated area. Must meet annual safety training requirementsrelativeto a safework place. Must meet health-testing requirements annually. Frequent patient contact requires adherence to universal precautions at all times. Visual acuity and hand dexterity. Physical ability involves a variety of body movements including stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, walking,stretchingand reaching.
