Job summary
Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Nurse Professional Development Generalist (NPD) to advance education, coaching, and leadership across nursing teams. The role focuses on curriculum development, evidence-based practice, and improving patient safety and outcomes.
The NPD Generalist combines teaching, leadership and clinical expertise to design and implement learning programs, supports practice transitions, and drives continuous professional development for nurses in our acute care network.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required and NLN/AACN accredited program.
- NJ RN license required and ongoing credential maintenance.
- Experience in nursing education, curriculum development or staff development preferred.
Responsibilities
- Learning facilitator creates teaching strategies and education materials.
- Partners for Practice transitions and workforce planning across clinical settings.
- Acts as change agent to support innovation and project management.
- Mentor to promote lifelong learning and professional growth of staff.
- Leads alignment of education initiatives with organizational goals and patient outcomes.
- Champions scientific inquiry and dissemination of knowledge to the nursing community.
