Advantage Surgical and Wound Care is seeking a part-time Wound Care Specialist to join our post-acute care team in Holyoke, MA. You will round at multiple facilities within a designated territory and provide bedside wound care to geriatric patients.

Weekday commitment with no on-call evenings or weekends. Role supports NP/ARNP or PA practitioners and offers base+commission with mileage reimbursement, plus a comprehensive benefits package for eligible staff.

Salary Range: $36,750.00 - $73,500.00 Base+Commission/year

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Wound Care Specialist (1-2 days/week) to work in the Holyoke, MA area. Qualified candidates will round at multiple facilities that are located within a designated territory. We are currently seeking Nurse Practitioners (NP or ARNP) and Physician Assistants (PA) to join our progressive medical practice.

Our experienced medical providers perform rounds in Skilled Nursing Facilities, providing wound care to residents of post-acute rehab settings, nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and long-term acute care hospitals.

Qualifications:

• Active state professional license
• Valid driver’s license

Duties:

• Weekday commitment: No call, evenings, or weekends
• Deliver wound care at the bedside in the post-acute care setting.
• Round daily at multiple facilities

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, paying special attention to factors that increase the risk of wound formation.
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure an effective wound care plan.
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate wound dressings.
• Educate nursing staff, and maintain open communication with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams as required.
• Order necessary medications and provide clear instructions for their use.
• Provide quality patient care to the Geriatric patient population.
