Job summary

UroGynecology Specialty Center in Fresno, CA is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to care for women with pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction and pelvic pain. This role offers meaningful patient care within a supportive team and the chance to advance in a respected specialty clinic.

The ideal candidate has completed an NP program, holds national certification, and can collaborate in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Participate directly in the management of patients to the extent authorized by his or her license, certificate, or other legal credentials, and any applicable standardized procedures
• Perform a complete physical examination and record findings. Collaborate with physicians in managing medical needs of patients
• Review and order laboratory studies, x-rays and other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with supervising physician as indicated
• Review lab and radiology results, in consultation with supervising physician as indicated
• Submit patient health care plan and goals of individual patients for review and evaluation by physician
• Refer patient to physician or specialist for consultation
• Review consultation reports, in consultation with the supervising physician as indicated
• Counsel patients and their families on health promotion, diagnosis, prognosis, and management options. Recommend resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Instruct patient and authorized family members regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provide patient education.
• Maintain medical record in the problem-oriented format as per standard company practice
• Triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation
• Provide monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits
• Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested
• Participate in professional development and maintain professional affiliations
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in compliance with Federal and State laws
