MiraCosta College is seeking a part-time nurse practitioner for the Oceanside Campus, working 10-12 hours per week. The role involves providing health care and education to students, managing acute illnesses and mental health diagnoses. One part time position, 10-12 hours per week, 12 months per year on the Oceanside Campus. Contingent on continued department need. Health Services on the Oceanside campus is open Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm, and Friday 8am-3pm during Fall and Spring semesters and Monday-Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Friday 8am-3pm during break weeks and Summer session. Nurse practitioner hours may be worked during any hours of operation with the option of one (long) or two (shorter) clinic days per week.
MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two hundred (200) road miles from the employee’s regularly assigned district worksite. The District may consider an individual’s request to temporarily reside outside the State of California or beyond the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, provided it does not exceed 12 consecutive months.
Provides professional nursing care, health education and health services to District students; performs comprehensive health and psychiatric assessments, creates differential diagnosis, and prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in the direct management of acute illness, disease, and mental health diagnoses; ensures compliance with state laws and regulations.
Starting at $52 per hour. Placement above 1 is based on years of experience.
