Job summary

BioTalent is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Sub-Investigator to support the Principal Investigator in Phase I–IV clinical trials. You will perform medical assessments, study visits, eligibility determinations, and adverse event management while ensuring protocol compliance.

The role requires strong communication, independent clinical decision-making, and overnight travel as needed. Prior Sub-Investigator experience in industry-sponsored trials is preferred, with travel to site visits expected.

Qualifications

• Active NP license required.
• Knowledge of GCP, ICH, IRB and clinical research regulations.
• Previous Sub-Investigator experience in industry-sponsored trials preferred.
• Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Responsibilities

Are you a Nurse Practitioner with clinical research experience and an interest in helping advance new therapies?

We’re looking for an NP Sub-Investigator to join a clinical research team supporting Phase I–IV clinical trials.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as a Sub-Investigator, supporting the Principal Investigator in clinical trials
• Conduct medical assessments and study visits
• Evaluate participant eligibility and monitor treatment response
• Assess and manage adverse events
• Ensure compliance with study protocols, GCP/ICH, and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with Clinical Research Coordinators, sponsors, monitors, and IRBs
• Support informed consent and clinical trial documentation
• Participate in investigator meetings, monitoring visits, and audits
• Help support patient recruitment and relationships with referring providers
• Active/current NP license
• Clinical experience with strong patient assessment skills
• Knowledge of GCP, ICH, IRB, and clinical research regulations
• Previous Sub-Investigator experience in industry-sponsored clinical trials preferred
• Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
• Comfortable working independently and making clinical decisions within protocol and regulatory requirements
• Willingness to travel overnight when needed
