Qualifications

  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Oklahoma.
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ANCC or AANP) with relevant clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in pain management, orthopedics, or musculoskeletal care preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations including history taking, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests related to spine and joint pain.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions tailored to patient needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care and optimize pain management strategies.
  • Monitor patient responses to treatments, adjust plans accordingly, and document clinical progress accurately.
  • Provide patient education on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures to support long-term health.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with advances in pain management and musculoskeletal care.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with healthcare policies.

About the Role:

The Nurse Practitioner – Spine and Joint Pain Management plays a critical role in delivering specialized care to patients experiencing acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. This position focuses on comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of spine and joint conditions, aiming to improve patient function and quality of life. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, physical therapists, and pain specialists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. They are responsible for monitoring patient progress, adjusting therapies as needed, and educating patients on pain management strategies and preventive care. Ultimately, this role contributes to advancing patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and compassionate care in a dynamic clinical environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Oklahoma.
