Schedule
  • CVR Annapolis- Monday/Wednesday
  • CVR Columbia- Tuesday/Thursday
  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • Full-time, 40-hours per week
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short‑term and long‑range patient care issues; providing information and commentary; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives
  • Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories
  • Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests; identifies abnormal results and brings them to the attention of the attending physician
  • Works closely with Nursing, Surgical and Vascular Lab Staff
  • Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans under the direction of the attending physician
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Formulates a multimodality treatment strategy for the patients’ venous insufficiency under the direction of the attending physician
  • Assists in medical procedures as requested by the attending physician
  • Educates patients on treatment options, physician recommendations, and assists patients in scheduling treatments
  • Participates in telephone communication with patients as needed
  • Creates a letter of medical necessity when required by a patient insurance company
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements; studies existing and new legislation; anticipates future legislation; enforces adherence; advises management on needed actions
  • Participates in all continuity of care initiatives, including one‑month, six‑month and annual follow‑ups
  • Maintains accurate and detailed reports and records; completes all work within established time requirements
  • Trains new clinical staff as needed
  • Works together with the team members at the center(s) to reach center goals
  • Assists in community events sponsored by CVR as needed
  • Attends periodic team meetings
  • Processes medical instruments and medical waste per CVR standards
  • Adheres to all infection control, universal precautions and safety policies
  • Utilizes appropriate customer service skills during interactions with patients, physicians, visitors, staff, and other personnel
  • Other duties as assigned by management, or clinical director
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be licensed Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous NP experience required
  • Must be able to travel to Grand Rapids and Muskegon clinic
