NURSE PRACTITIONER - RHEUMATOLOGY
Job Summary: Performs in an expanded role in the delivery of health care in the rheumatology clinic. Performs according to the advanced practice registered nursing standards and functions. Functions under the direction of the physician supervisor.

Job Description and Responsibilities
- Provide evidence- based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of rheumatology related health problems.
- Respond to patient escalations identified – i.e. symptoms and labs
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (blood tests, imaging etc.)
- Respond to patient escalations identified via RPM – i.e. abnormal vitals, symptoms and labs
- Propose treatments for autoimmune disorders and other conditions
- Medication management and adjustments; prescribe medications.
- Perform regular virtual check-ins with patients to review labs and medication management optimization and adherence
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Inform patients about their health conditions, prescribed medications, lab and imaging results
- Educate patients and their family members on disease management
- Advance professional knowledge
Skills
- Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting. New graduates may beconsidered
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
- Valid nurse practitioner license in Delaware
- Master’s degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Education/Regulatory Requirements
- Current Certified Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of Delaware is required.
- Two to four years’ acceptable experience to practice autonomously in various clinical settings preferred.
- Previous work history that demonstrates steady and punctuality is required.
Salary: $60 an hour
Location: Brandywine Rheumatology 1601 Milltown Road, Wilmington, Delaware
Schedule: PT 8-24 hours week negotiable, 8a-5p
Work Remotely: Available - Partial schedule
