Summary

This is a contract Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner position providing patient care within a leading direct healthcare provider organization. The role offers a consistent weekday schedule and the opportunity to deliver high-quality primary care in Reno, NV.

Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical examinations, and health assessments for patients across the lifespan.
Diagnose and manage acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and common primary-care concerns using evidence-based clinical judgment.
Develop, implement, and regularly reassess individualized treatment plans in partnership with each patient and their support system.
Prescribe medications, therapies, and other treatments within the scope of practice and in accordance with applicable Nevada requirements.
Order, review, and interpret appropriate laboratory studies, imaging, and other diagnostic tests; communicate results and next steps clearly.
Provide patient education, preventive-care counseling, health promotion, and guidance that supports informed self-management.
Document patient encounters, assessments, clinical decisions, orders, and follow-up plans accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and the broader care team to coordinate safe, continuous, and high-quality care.
Maintain compliance with Nevada regulations, professional standards, privacy requirements, and organizational policies and procedures.
