Job summary

Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center in Camp Hill seeks a Nurse Practitioner (PT) to join the medicine hospitalist team. The NPRole focuses on pathophysiology, assessment, and prescriptive authority within PA Board guidelines.

The position is night shift (7:00p-5:00a), part-time at 0.5 FTE, with a multidisciplinary team and emphasis on health promotion and disease management. Comprehensive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.
• Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required.
• Currently licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
• BLS certification required.

• Provide comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis and management within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care across settings.
• Promote health and disease prevention through patient education and counseling.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The NP is an expert in pathophysiology, physical assessment and diagnosis, pharmacology and exercises authority in health promotion and disease management. The NP functions as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team and provides a wide range of patient services to a specific patient population across the continuum of health care. By utilizing the nursing process, scientific reasoning and critical problem solving, NPs practice within the scope of responsibilities and prescriptive authority defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and the Medical Staff Executive at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• Masters Degree in Nursing with clinical specialization required.
• Two (2) years' work experience as a RN required.
• Currently licensed to practice as a CRNP by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
• BLS certification required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Certification as an NP in the area of practice specialization is preferred.
