Job summary

ERP International, LLC seeks a Nurse Practitioner for full-time support in the DMH Acute Psychiatry Department (Inpatient) at NMC San Diego.

Shifts span Sunday through Saturday, 0600–1600, with 10-hour days on a 7-on/7-off cycle and a paid meal break, providing high-quality psychiatric care in a military medical setting.

Qualifications

• Degree: MSN or Doctor of Nursing.
• PMHNP-BC board certification.
• Active, unrestricted license in any state.
• Minimum 3 years of Psychiatric- Behavioral Health NP experience in last 5 years.
• Current ARC or AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Ability to pass a Government background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric care and treatment to patients at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
• Perform psychiatric intakes, evaluations, and prescribe medications as a team member.
• May involve medical student and psychiatry resident education.
• May supervise other health care professionals and trainees.
• Provide timely communication to patient’s Command on Behavioral Health issues per DoD instructions.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team and maintain records in electronic systems.

Responsibilities

Work Schedule: Services shall be provided Sunday through Saturday, excluding Federal Holidays, between the hours of 0600 – 1600 hours. Shifts will normally be scheduled for 10-hour period for seven (7) days on and seven (7) days off, to include an uncompensated 30 to 60 meal break.

Core Duties: The duties include, but are not limited to the following;

• Providing comprehensive psychiatric care and treatment (e.g., assessment, consultation, medication management) to patients in the Naval Medical Center San Diego’s (NMCSD) Directorate for Behavioral Health.
• Performs psychiatric intakes, evaluations, and prescribes medications. Will serve as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary mental Behavioral Health.
• May be involved in medical student and psychiatry resident education.
• May provide clinical supervision to other health care professionals and trainees, such as psychology interns.
• Provides timely communication to patient’s Command on Behavioral Health issues where disclosure is required per Department of Defense Instructions. MQS2-NG Task Order Type I PWS Page 4 of 4
• Works as part of an interdisciplinary team with focus on collaboration and consultation.
• Maintains appropriate records using a computerized record keeping and coding system.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing.
• Education: Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Certification: Adult Psychiatric- Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified (PMHNP-BC)
• Experience: Possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Psychiatric- Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner in the last five (5) years. PMH NP board certification and NP license required.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted license from any state
• Life Support Certification: Possess current ARC or AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Security: Must possess ability to pass a Government background check/security clearance.

Pay Scale: $100.00 - $110.00 per hour (up to $238k annually), to be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
