Job summary

Alevistarjobs is seeking a Nurse Practitioner – Psychiatric to work 30 hours per week in Philadelphia. This role is integral to the treatment process, responsible for psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and referral of patients requiring additional intervention.

The ideal candidate holds a valid PA Nurse Practitioner license and has at least two years of psychiatric NP experience. An excellent compensation package is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or extensive prior experience as a Psych Nurse.
• DEA prescriptive authority for psychotropic medications.
• Must pass credentialing criminal background check and initial drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and treatment for adult outpatient patients.
• Manage and prescribe medications for patients as needed.
• Observe and refer patients needing additional medical remediation.

Nurse Practitioner – Psychiatric (Philadelphia)

As a 30 hour per week Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner you will work closely with the senior outpatient Psychiatrist of a comprehensive community mental health program in Philadelphia.

In collaboration, this key position is responsible for psychiatric evaluation and treatment, and med management for an adult outpatient mental health patient population. Also observation and referral of patients needing medical remediation. Our Client regards the Nurse Practitioner as an integral part of the treatment process. The selected candidate must be highly competent with psychiatric and medical principles as your expertise in these areas will be highly respected.

Requirements

• PA licensed Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)or PMHNP)
• DEA prescriptive authority for psychotropic meds
• two years experience as a Psychiatric NP or NP plus extensive prior experience as a Psych Nurse.
• Certification is desired.
• DEA authorization to prescribe in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
