Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to screen and prepare patients for outpatient imaging procedures and to administer and monitor medications under supervision.

The role is Temporary/PRN with hours on Mondays 7:00am-7:00pm and additional days as needed; licensure in the state is required and ACLS is preferred for emergent care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• NP License and certification, current and in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Certification in ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support).

Responsibilities

• Screen patient prior to procedures to ensure safety and eligibility.
• Explain procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation.
• Administer prescribed medications and contrast agents in outpatient settings.
• Document care and maintain accurate EMR records.
• Support CT/MRI workflow to help keep schedules on track.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Nurse practitioner, you will beresponsible for screening and preparing patients for their procedure and administering and monitoring medications for patients in an outpatient setting. Additionally, you will participate in all aspects of patient care as indicated.

This is a Temporary/PRN position working Mondays 7:00am-7:00pm, and other days as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehension
• Screens patient prior to procedure for any precautions or contra-indications and for MRI safety
• Reviews patient history and complete appropriate consents forms as needed
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments (i.e. contrasts) in accordance with approved standards and regulations for care
• Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
• Participates in an efficient workflow to assist keeping CT and/or /MRI on schedule
• Assures proper documentation in the EMR system

(10%) Administrative Duties

• Complete all required administrative duties
• Maintains clean and stocked work environment

(5%) Performs related work as assigned

Required:
