Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a MR Technologist to operate MRI scanners and produce diagnostic images. You will screen patients, position them for scans, and follow safety standards while delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Temporary/PRN role with opportunity to support the MRI department, assist in protocols, and contribute to accurate records in RIS. Candidates must be AMA-approved radiography graduates and ARRT/ARMRIT registered, with CPR certification.

• ARRT/ARMRIT certification in good standing
• CPR certification and current status
• State radiologic technologist license where applicable
• Proficient in performing MRI procedures independently

Responsibilities

• Screen patients prior to exam and verify identity
• Explain MRI procedure and position patients for imaging
• Perform routine and advanced MRI scans with minimal supervision
• Adjust MRI parameters and ensure safety compliance
• Maintain patient records in RIS and ensure instrument sanitation
• Assist with MRI protocol updates and equipment upkeep
• Support training of new MRI staff and other duties as needed

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a MR Technologist to join our team. As a MR Technologist, you will beresponsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

This is a Temporary/PRN position working as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
• Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
• Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
• Follows physicians’ orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
• Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

(5%) MRI Department Support

• Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
• Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
• Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma, or equivalent
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
• Certification in imaging specialty
