The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our Walk in Clinic team on an intermittent basis at the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC), an award-winning Level II TraumaCenter, We would be delighted to discuss our Nurse Practitioner position with you. With over 30 medical specialties, ANMC serves as the tertiary referral center for Alaska Native and American Indian people across the state. The Walk in Clinic is open 365 days per year. We see approximately 50 – 80 patients per day, 12-20 per provider. Responsibilities include: completing comprehensive histories and physical exams; ordering and interpreting tests; prescribing medications; developing treatment plans; and educating patients/families on treatment options. Required procedures include, I&D’s, Sutures, wound care, splinting.
We are seeking Part time / intermittent providers.
Intermittent 8 and 12 hour shifts
Degreed Nurse Practitioner;Certification by an approved national certifying body; Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification; State of Alaska Nurse Practitioner License. Preferred: 2 years’ post-graduate experience as an NP managing family medicine outpatients; genuine interest in primary care medicine, astute clinical skills; superior communication and relationship building skills; flexible team player; culturally sensitive.
