Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner to join St. Jude's in Memphis, TN. This role offers flexible second-shift options, approximately 12 PM–8 PM or 1 PM–9 PM, and 32 or 40 hours per week, with a focus on primary and acute/urgent care in a high-demand health center.

You will care for about 14 patients daily, perform exams, procedures, and develop care plans, while collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and patient education.

Qualifications

• Must hold state RN and NP licenses to practice.
• Federal DEA license required; prescriptive authority as applicable.
• National certification from ANCC or AANP.
• BLS required; ACLS may be required depending on contract scope.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments incl. medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records with accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
