Job summary

CHS is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for our Adult Medicine clinic in Hartford, Connecticut. The APRN/NP provides comprehensive primary health care, including health promotion and disease prevention, for CHS patients.

This is a full‑time, permanent role requiring strong clinical skills and the ability to work with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates should have 8 years of experience, CT licensure, and DEA/state narcotic registration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Possess valid State of Connecticut licensure
• Have or be eligible to obtain DEA and state narcotic registration
• Have a deep knowledge of nursing theory and practice or physician assistant theory and practice coupled with a record of providing high quality, comprehensive, professional clinical care to patients according to established standards, protocols and practices.
• Have skill taking medical history, assessing medical conditions and interpreting findings.
• Candidates with 1 year's experience working in an ambulatory setting or providing urgent care.
• Employment at CHS must successfully pass a pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
