Job summary

LCMC Health Physician Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established Urology practice in Marrero, Louisiana. This provider will work closely with physicians and the care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered urologic care in an outpatient setting.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a blend of outpatient clinic duties, inpatient hospital coverage, and surgical assistance in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in NP program.
• Current Louisiana RN license.
• Current Louisiana APRN license.
• National NP certification.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Master’s degree in PA program.
• Louisiana PA license or eligibility.
• NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and conduct physical examinations.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic urologic conditions under established protocols and collaborative agreements.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing results.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
• Respond promptly to patient calls, messages, and clinical concerns.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
• Coordinate patient care and collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and specialists.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical team meetings.
• Promote patient safety and infection prevention standards.

This provider will work collaboratively with physicians, clinical staff, and support teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered urologic care in an outpatient setting. Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner Candidates: Master's or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current Louisiana Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Physician Assistant Candidates: Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current Louisiana Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure
• National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification required
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urology, surgical, primary care, or specialty clinic experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
