Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality pediatric urology care in a predominantly outpatient setting, with 100% FTE schedule 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, participate in weekly urology conferences, and perform procedures including catheter insertions, catheter changes and complex bladder irrigation, under approved practice agreements.

Qualifications

  • NP or PA licensure in Wisconsin and board certification in Family or Pediatric.
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply prior to/hire date.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you\'ll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  • Provide care to pediatric urology patients.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in a primarily outpatient setting.
  • Participate in weekly urology academic conferences.
  • Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice including, but not limited to: catheter insertions, catheter changes, and complex bladder irrigation.

Education:

Minimum –

  • If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
  • If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner:

  • Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND
  • Active board certification as a NP in Family or Pediatric.

If Physician Assistant:

  • Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND
  • Active PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have:

  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
