Job description

Work Schedule:

80% FTE; core hours between 7:00 am - 5:00 pm with some flexibility.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our medical/surgical inpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. You will be part of a dynamic, nationally recognized Pediatric Sedation Clinic.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  1. Perform history and assessments
  2. Develop a sedation plan in collaboration with the attending Physician
  3. Perform moderate sedation to children for a variety of procedures
  4. Assist in deep sedations for a variety of procedures

UW Health's Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Advisory Council ensures that your voices are heard. This council promotes, supports, advocates, and advises on APP practice and provides expertise and counsel on APP roles across the organization.

Education:

Minimum qualifications:

If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum requirements:

If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP in Family, Pediatric Acute Care, or Pediatric Primary Care.

If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.

All applicants must have an active DEA license or the ability to apply for one prior to or upon hire, along with CPR certification and relevant advanced life support certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
