Job summary

Conservative Care Occupational Health (CCOH) is seeking an APRN/Physician Assistant to join our Springdale clinic. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat work-related injuries, perform DOT and pre-employment exams, and coordinate care with therapists and employer partners.

This role offers autonomy with collaborative support and a focus on safe return-to-work care. Ideal candidates will hold an NP/PA license in Arkansas, be board-certified or eligible in Occupational or related specialties, and

  • DOT NRCME certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat work-related injuries and acute conditions.
  • Perform occupational exams and develop treatment plans for safe return-to-work.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and manage referrals as needed.
  • Document encounters accurately in the EMR and maintain compliance.

About Us:

At Conservative Care Occupational Health (CCOH), we provide comprehensive occupational medicine, injury-care management, physical therapy, and urgent care services across multiple states. We partner with employers to keep workers safe, healthy, and productive, while providing patient-centered care with professionalism and compassion.

We are seeking a dedicated APRN/Physician Assistant to join our clinical team. This role is ideal for a provider who enjoys autonomy, collaborative teamwork, and a mission-driven environment focused on safe return-to-work care.

Position Summary:

As a APRN/Physician Assistant, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with work-related injuries and acute conditions, while coordinating care with clinical staff, therapy teams, and employer partners. This role involves performing occupational medical exams, managing treatment plans, and ensuring high standards of documentation, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Do:
  • Conduct medical evaluations, injury assessments, follow-ups, and return-to-work exams.
  • Diagnose and manage work-related injuries, minor illness, musculoskeletal issues, and urgent-care concerns.
  • Develop treatment plans focused on safe functional recovery and timely return to duty.
  • Perform DOT physicals, pre-employment physicals, IMEs, second opinions, and medical reviews (training available if needed).
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, labs, and specialty referrals when appropriate.
  • Document clinical encounters thoroughly and accurately within the EMR.
  • Collaborate with PT, clinic staff, and employer contacts regarding work restrictions and recovery progress.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, HIPAA, and state medical regulations.
  • Provide leadership and clinical guidance to Medical Assistants, Therapy staff, and support teams
  • Contribute to quality improvement and workflow development across the clinic.
Clinic Schedule:

Our Springdale clinic operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM with no weekend or holiday hours.

As a part-time/PRN, you will help to cover vacations and CME's of other providers in our Arkansas clinic locations. Maybe be scheduled to help with onsites, as needed.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant and active state medical license for the state the position is located in.
  • DOT NRCME certification or willing to get one
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty.
  • Ability to diagnose, evaluate and manage musculoskeletal and work-related injuries.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and patient rapport.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to documentation accuracy, compliance, and ethical patient care.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or workers’ comp.
  • Experience with EMR documentation and productivity workflows.
  • Experience supervising or collaborating with clinical teams.
