Qualifications

  • Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in CT (or eligible).
  • Current DEA registration (or eligibility).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Perform pre-employment, post-offer, DOT, fit-for-duty, and return-to-work physical examinations.
  • Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing and laboratory results.
  • Develop treatment plans and coordinate referrals when appropriate.
  • Provide work status recommendations and collaborate with employers, case managers, and insurance representatives.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, wellness, and safe return-to-work practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.

Griffin Health is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or Physician Assistant) to join our Occupational Medicine team. Position Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider delivers comprehensive occupational health services for employees and employers throughout the region. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating work-related injuries and illnesses, performing employment-related physical examinations, and supporting workplace health initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the State of Connecticut (or eligible for licensure).
  • Current DEA registration (or eligibility).
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
  • Familiarity with workers' compensation guidelines and DOT medical examinations (or willingness to obtain certification).
  • Experience using electronic medical records.
