Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a busy orthopedic spine clinic with 100% FTE, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm. You will evaluate complex spine and extremity pathology and serve as first and second assist in the OR.

You will collaborate with an Orthopedic Spine team, including spine surgeons, PM&R physicians, chronic pain specialists and psychologists, to deliver high‑quality care and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
• Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to hire

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

• Be a part of a busy orthopedic spine clinic.
• Evaluate complex spine and extremity pathology.
• First and second assist in the OR.
• Collaborate with an Orthopedic Spine team, including Orthopedic Spine surgeons, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physicians, Chronic Pain Physicians and Psychologists.

Education:

• If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.
• If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner*:

• Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice and
• Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult/Gero Primary Care, Adult/Gero Acute Care, Adult, or Family.

If Physician Assistant*:

• Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice and
• Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*:
