Job Summary

In collaboration with a licensed physician, the mid-level practitioner performs services in the practice of medicine, specific to the Hospitalist Program. The primary responsibility is to extend clinical services in the delivery of health care to patients while hospitalized. The practitioner will also perform administrative duties related to the practice of medicine.

Key duties include working closely with hospital management, physicians, staff, patients, and visitors; maintaining proper medical records; complying with hospital bylaws and policies; participating in medical services with third-party payers; and demonstrating leadership and teaching abilities.

Minimum Requirements
  • Educational requirements: MSN degree, RN license, and certification by an approved agency (ANA or equivalent); or Physician Assistant graduate from an accredited program.
  • Experience: Prior healthcare experience; hospital medicine experience preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to diagnose, manage conditions, promote health, and collaborate with professionals.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current licensure, DEA, DPS, CPR, ACLS, and CME as required.
