Job summary

A leading health organization in Madison, WI, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant to join a virtual care team and provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Doctorate from an accredited Nursing Program or a BA/MS in PA. Must possess state licensure with prescriptive authority and have at least 2 years of clinical experience. This hybrid role includes both in-person and telehealth visits, contributing to the expansion of the primary care program.

Job Description

Work Schedule:

80% FTE, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No holidays or call. Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play an integral role in building and expanding a virtual primary care program. You’ll be a part of the ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients both in person and virtually.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant to:

• Be a part of a virtual care team expanding access to primary care through telehealth visits
• Care for the acute and chronic needs of patients from newborn to elderly.
• Perform physical exams and manage the health maintenance needs of our family medicine population.
• Perform routine clinical procedures independently including wart removal, PAP smears and skin lesion removals.

Education:

• If Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
• If Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.

Work Experience:

Required – Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience

Licenses and Certifications:

• Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
• Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice
• Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (e.g., Family)
• Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice
• Active PA board certification
• Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have active DEA license or the ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
