Job summary

Chicago Cardiology Institute is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Electrophysiology (EP) team in Schaumburg, IL. New graduates are encouraged to apply, with physician collaboration, hands-on clinical training, and support as you transition into advanced practice.

You will evaluate and manage patients with heart rhythm disorders, under a collaborative care model, with a Monday–Friday schedule and no call.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Board certification and an active, unrestricted Illinois license required before starting.
• New graduates welcome; prior APP experience is not required.
• ICU, CVICU, critical care, or acute care experience valued.
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Review diagnostic studies, lab results, and clinical histories.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Educate patients about conditions, medications, and treatment options.
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other clinical team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

• Training and support to develop your electrophysiology expertise

• Close collaboration with experienced cardiologists and the cardiovascular care team

Your Role

You’ll help evaluate and manage patients with heart rhythm disorders and related cardiovascular conditions while building specialized knowledge through clinical experience and physician collaboration.
