UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiothoracic ICU as a full-time Advanced Practice Provider. The role involves peri-operative care for adult cardiothoracic surgery patients, daily rounds with interdisciplinary teams, and management of lines and circulatory support devices.
The position requires active NP or PA licensure in Wisconsin, board certification in the relevant practice area, and DEA license.
100% FTE, Core daytime hours between 6:00 AM -8:00 PM, variable shift lengths, rotation to night and weekend coverage.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient team by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
The Cardiothoracic ICU is a closed ICU service that hosts variety of pre and post-surgical phase of cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, including heart and lung transplants, complex aortic cases and ventricular assist devices, as well as ECMO and other short term mechanical circulatory device patients. This team is led by a critical care board certified intensivist faculty and its members include residents, fellows and advance practice providers. We are looking for APP partners who would maintain continuity of this high intensity cardiothoracic surgery critical care team.
