Job summary

BAS Healthcare, Inc. invites a Board-certified Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant to join a 16-bed Emergency Department in Washington, NC. The provider will manage mostly adult patients with diverse acuity and perform essential urgent procedures.

Schedule includes three 12-hour clinical shifts plus one admin shift per week, with 7a–7p or 5p–5a hours and no on-call requirements. Relocation assistance is available to facilitate joining the team.

Qualifications

• Board-certified providers in emergency medicine (NP or PA).
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a 16-bed Emergency Department.
• Perform minor procedures such as I&D, laceration repairs, and minor fracture care.
• Shift pattern includes three 12-hour clinical shifts and one 4-hour admin shift weekly.
• Clinical shifts run 7a–7p or 5p–5a; no call required.
• Potential to pick up shifts at a nearby Level I trauma center.

Job Details:

• Board Certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide patient care in a 16-bed Emergency Department
• Majority of patients are adults with ESI 3-5 conditions, with intermittent pediatric patients ESI 4 & 5
• Minor procedures include I&D, laceration repairs, and minor fracture care
• Schedule includes three 12-hour clinical shifts and one 4-hour admin shift per week
• Clinical shifts are 7a-7p or 5p-5a
• No call required
• Average patient volume is 2 patients per hour depending on acuity
• Opportunities exist to pick up shifts at a nearby 974-bed Level I trauma center with a 56-bed emergency department
• ALCS and PALS certifications required
• Relocation assistance available
